I cannot help troubling You
with another Letter to express the pleasure
I have felt in reading the Work which You
were so good as to give me.
About Ten Years ago My thoughts were a
a good deal engaged on the subjects
which have lately occupied Yours, but
for some Years past I have paid little
attention to them. Your Book has however
brought me back to the Subject, & I assure
You it is not Compliment, when I say,
that I think You have thrown a great
deal of light upon it. I was particularly
pleased at finding so clearly stated in
Your Book, the advantages of a Military
Guard, a surrounding Wall completely
