Hostility disclaimed
Think not my Lord that whatever may ultimately be
the final result of Your Lordship's pleasure
it will make any difference in the respect to
which Your Lordship is entitled at my hands.
Should the final result be a difference of opinion
which however I might lament I could not remove
I should of course pursue my object at the bar
of the proper tribunals with such arguments such
as Your Lordship has seen and such others as
the case might suggest to me: but as to any thing
of spleen or personal reflection, a paper was public or private
your will Lordship will do me no more than
justice to your correspondent in being assured that I am he is as not less incapable
of being the author of any such hostility
than your Lordship is deserving of being the object
of it.

to conclude without
making my acknowledgment
to your
Lordship for the speediness
of the answer
with which your
Lordship was pleased
to honour, to which
I will add my humble

I should humbly l I shall continue with expressing repeating my humble hope, that if, after what
has been said your Lordship should see ground
