Though I could not it was impossible for me decline a business which was is so
much my own, I must confess myself in no under
small degree embarrassed no small difficulty

With respect to the passing of the Bill when brought in
by Administration and supported by the original patrons of
the system from whom Administration received the plan,
and by whom they were in a manner pressed into it,
I think I shall not be there can surely be no doubt <add> hardly be any room for doubt accused with being over sanguine
unknown as I
am to your Lordship
it is impossible that
I should have the least
pretensions to any kind
of favour: at the same
time that it would be
a favour done to myself
and that a very valuable
one is not to be dissembled

But with respect to the immediate possession we are altogether
in the hands of Your Lordship & the Hig Most Reverend & noble his Grace. Even here
were the public interest alone concerned, it would be injustice
to your Lordship's personal character and not less that to your public & as well as enobled
station to presume any reluctance having hesitation on your part. But
the fact is, and it would be equally disingenuous and fruitless
on my part to attempt to dissemble it, that along
with the benefit to the public which would result from
a compliance there would accrue a very considerable
advantage to myself: for this advantage it would
be well worth my while, and I should be extremely
well content pay to the amount of five hundred
pound: which sum should be added over and above
the supplemental compensation to be awarded, but paid in
addition to the originally assessed price of £ £6.600 immediate
on the surrender of the possession of the land
having the award and the formal signature payment of the sum awarded completion
of the purchase to follow with as much every degree of expedition as
the nature of the business may admit
