Hendon Jan:5 — 1794

Who would have thought of Sylvester Douglas's governing
Ireland! The papers talk of his setting out so soon
as Wednesday - He might catch M, and I should
suppose would not be ill disposed to do so. Pity he had
not seen Panopticon Model &c - There can hardly now
be time for it — When Panopticon is set up here, he
can surely make no difficulty of setting it up there -
Go to Wilson and consult him about it, and whether
any thing is to be done now — though probably Douglas
will be coming to England on a Furlough before we
should want any thing to be done about Panopticon in
Ireland. Douglas can surely have no time to eat victuals
at Q.S.P. If he would I would come to town on
purpose.

As to Law I cannot afford to come to London on
purpose. It is possible I might be ready to come by that
Day, but I hardly expect it.

You were certainly in high luck at Knowle
