Meantime My Brother, The man whose offer to save the public
25 per cent in the article of wood-work for the Navy,
the Earl of Chatham thought was pleased to reject on
the declared ground of his attachment to the Russian
service, has now at last by his confidence in the
of Ld Chatham expectation
his Lordships brother, lost his regiment
in that Ru service: a provision which might have was not
been ever so much more than the but would never have
been worth so little as £2,000 a year to him, and which was all
he had to live upon. I have more than once had occasion
to speak of such an event as probable:
I have [+] [+] as you may perhaps remember sollicited and sollicited in vain, a word or two, by which
I conceived it might have been averted. Within these
five days an accident has led me to the knowledge discovery of its having
taken place, I know not how long ago I can't tell when in spite of my Brother's endeavours to
conceal it from me As to the Russian Minister here, who was
most zealously his friend, he has not been able to look him in the face this twelvemonth.
Under these circumstances you will not be surprized to hear that adjournment and rejection
abandonment
will be two words for the same thing.

Without my My own economical plans have so absolute a dependence
on my Brother's mechanical ones, meantime that without his assistance, even with money at
command, it would be
it is impossible for me to be a step go on [+] [+] at least upon any
terms like those agreed on,
and for his part,
You will I trust agree
with me that it is high time he were in got to Petersburgh back to
Russia to his endeavour to recover a part of his lost trying to get back if possible a part
ground and to play of the bread he has been made led to forfeit, and beginning the same sort of game at Petersburgh,
that after two or three years, rather little more unexpected practice exercise I have just done
playing at Whitehall.
