Last night Sept. 25th
I received at this place the honour of your
letter dated Sep Westminr Sept. 21. transmitted to my house in Westminster
the same yesterday mor after noon by Mr Long.
The object of the present address, is
humbly to beg to know, Sir, whether on the supposition
of a Memorial the same in point of
argument as that which has had undergone your correct <add>passed through under your view
argument (every thing that may be improper in
point of argument excepted) but cleared cleared only from
those superfluities and improprieties of stile and reprehensible passages
marks of warmth of temper which have so unfortunately drawn
escaped me, upon it the misfortune of your censure, it would be your pleasure you would then be pleased
to make the transmission you speak of, accompanied
to "transmitt it such Memorial with your sentiments"
upon it to the respective departments" in question
alluded to by you, and whether those sentiments would be in favour
of the claims my wishes in respect of the land.
