to remind them of it by the Memorial and that certainly Mr Dundas was the perfect
person for that presenting it notwithstanding it was no longer
his official department. He observed also that Dundas was
certainly a friend to the business: and that he himself
regretted very much the delay. Upon the whole though
Long sounded seemed to me to speak of your desiring what
in some instances I had understood from you that he had
were of his suggestions, whichever way it be there can
be no use in your reminding him any expressions.
though he waved appointing a meeting you he was very
ready to see you and of course give you his opinion of your
memorial and there seems no difficulty in seeing him
