By fixation on transmission the connection or say
association between signs and signs is say between one sign
and another no information concerning external facts is
either fixed or conveyed or say transmitted.

Of this species of information the sole use is the
getting the signs in such order as shall, on occasion
be the most convenient and effective for presenting causing the information
concerning external facts to consideration to be laid for the purposes of judging
whether it be true or no: that is to say whether the ideas
entertained respecting those facts agree with or say are warranted
by the nature and existence of these same facts.

By its dialectic branch, the logic of which Aristotle is
considered the founder considered itself to be by means of its dialectic branch to be conveying information
respecting external facts; whereas in truth all the same it
was in the nature to render: all it could do was to convey
information concerning the connection between sign and sign.

Only by experience, observation is experienced as information
concerning facts, whether external or internal observable or conveyable.

By a logical argument / proposition syllogism what may be termed evidence is exhibited
the facts the existence of which is asserted from to which the one to other the
relation which may be termed evolutionary+ a regarded as already proposed to
sufficiently evidences and thereby known be evidence the major proposition; fact by means of which it
is proposed to be evidenced by means of its relation to the fact already evidenced, the minor proposition: fact regarded
as actually evidenced, by means of that the conclusion.

+ Proposition is
a syllogism is what
is regarded as the
proper term, there is:
the major, the minor
the conducive.

☞ Proceed to exemplification from Saunderson.

Reference had to information concerning facts their syllogism,
all of them, may be stiled hollow, empty, barren, deceptious,
useless: they suffice not—they serve not—to render consistent
with practice any practical conclusion: they serve not for the elucidation
of practice, action, conduct, deportment.
