On this occasion it may be of use that the particular
way shape mode in which source from which it may be is regarded by the matter capable of being applied
to use should be by himself presented to view. This
source is the method pursued in it – the form in into which
the matter of it has as it were been cast, for, if
my conception in relation to is correct, no other form in any very
considerable degree different from that in which it here
appears, no form that the matter admitts of would
be equally and serve well adapted to the
purpose. Very different In a very considerable degree
different, according to my conception are, – in the first place the definition –
the definition given of the several genera and species
of the several supposed maleficent acts proposed
to be constituted offences made the subject matter of
prohibition and remedy in the shape of punishment
its several shapes, and in particular that of punishment,
and thereby constituted offences: in the next
place, the application made of the general matter contained
in Part I Offences collectively considered the application
made to the several particular genera and species of
offences brought to view in Part II Offences separately
considered.
