Blackstone
The proposition grounds of action expressed by
the proposition of which the principles hereinafter employed
are, as above, so many abridgements are those herein above-mentioned
under the several denominations titles of
all comprehensive ends, immediate subordinate ends,
and radical or say fundamental axioms of mental pathology
– those last being expressive of the mental feelings produced by
the several sorts of human actions and other occurrences of
which for the purpose of establishing right, with the correspondent
the law or say the constitutional authorities
find occasion to take cognizance.
☞ Amend this to state
1. The principle declared from the all-comprehensive end
and the four next subordinate ends
2. The principles respectively deducible from the several
pathological axioms
☞ Then state these as being what is meant by
principles of justice – meaning civil justice
Next speak of the phrases "First
"principles of justice" – "Every principle of justice
Explaining before or after this, the distinction between
principles of civil justice and principles of penal
justice.
