Penal Code – Offences SeverallyOffences affecting Title.

The owner or say possessor of a thing
corporeal or incorporeal is he who had
in relation thereto an effective cause of title.

An effective cause of title consists
of two parts, say the positive & the negative.
The positive part consists in this – namely
that in his favour in relation to the thing
in question a collative event or state
of things has taken place.

The negative part consists in this –
say that in his disfavour no ablative
event or state of things has taken place
either antecedently or subsequently to such
collative event or state of things.
