for any useful truth: and since as to the main question the view
I had taken of the subject was sinister in so many points
to that which had been given whose declared
object in writing was to bring on a state of things
which I know not how to distinguish from
universal Bankruptcy, (immediate Bankruptcy
as a remedy against the distinct danger possibility of it for the sake of averting the distinct possibility
of it) I it seemed to present a chance means
of removing some degree of prepossession, and
smoothing the way for the reception of what appeared
to me in the character of useful truth,
to let it be seen that the same opinion could
be entertained and manifested and maintained
by an individual who had no end in view
but what was diametrically the reverse of the
one just mentioned, and who feared not to make
himself responsible for it by his name.
