Morn. Chron. July 24. 1830

Per O.P.2. in a Letter dated Paris, July 20th. 1830 —

"A ministerial Journal — well paid — well supplied
with news — whose Editor is well received at Court, and
enters when he pleases the hotels of all the Ministers,
has had the folly, the imprudence, the absurdity to
state, —

"Ce n'est pas ici l'exageration de la flatterie — la
France a plus besoin de son Roi, que son Roi
n'a besoin d'elle".

☞ Compare this rant with Brougham about the Jury Box.
