Chicania
5. Conciliatrix

16
No punishment for
falsehood

In the this same Reconcilement Court the parties are to appear
personally before the Judge (§.99) They are to appear before him in the presence
of each other (§.100) But oath and examination upon
oath, or in any other way punishment for false statements?
Or in Conciliation never heard of any such thing in his
Court full & the scope given his inventive genius. Smalldebtrix
Legacius or Arbitrarix's is the shape you must go to, if you any
want any such thing as is security against falshood and deception of the Judge by means of it is what you want.

17
Curious would be a
table of delays in
different
Courts of
Justice

Delays. Curious altogether would be a synoptic Table
exhibiting the different lengths of the factitious delay are
established on the one and the same set of occasions
and varying according to the denomination given to the Judicature
As to Mr Bentham such his stupidity we had almost sent an
his matchless constitution been able to bend what has had that so

much as a minute of factitious delay is any thing better than a
grievance pick pocket

[+] has any such
as Sir R and
Mr Brougham

18
No such delays in
Surgical practice

So many days between the Surgeons first visit and the finding
of the wound — so may days between the probing and the dressing
of it: so many days between the dressing of it, and the application
of the tourniquet, if amputation be decided on: just as ready would
he be to bring in a Bill for establishing these delays in a surgical
case for the benefit of health as in a law case for
the benefit of justice. But Surgeons would not gain any thing
by draining the blood vessels of their patient, and lawyers do
y (also to his an amount!) by draining the purses
of their suitors and their Clients

Written Instruments. Another such synoptic table might
be occupied in bringing to view the different denominations to the the different several
written instruments called for in respectively the same occasion and
for the same purpose
