The interest in depredation, in oppression,
in corruption, & delusion as means of both –
in a word in bad government in all its shapes
is an interest that belongs in common to
both: and such as is their interest, such
of course will be their constant wishes
& endeavours. The whole of the British
Empire – the British world with all that
therein is is a vast manufacturing concern
carried on & these it masters of
course for their own benefit,
The question is as between one &
the other the question is the constant
question – & which of the two it
shall be carried on – its a it
is the subject matter between
them of a constant lawsuit.
In an ordinary lawsuit having
for its subject matter a landed
estate is it ever can it ever
be the wish of ehther party to diminish
the rents & profit of the
estate? Well then as little can it be the
wish of Whigs any more than of
