II. Doctrine
Ch. 6. Allective Direction — Evils.
2
§.1. Abstract fitness
Part Subscriptions or Creeds.
The absurdity, groundlessness,
& nothingness
of these collections of
mind corruptive matter,
is not here to the
purpose. — The question
is supposing
them ever so good &c.
whether they possibly
can all be believed.
p.*6
By the soi disant
Apostles' and Athanasian
creeds, Jesus is sent
down into hell.
By the Nicene not.
By his biographers,
this fact is not noticed
and supposing it true
what is any one the
wiser of better for it.
p.*.6.
Holy Catholic Church
subject of belief per
Pseudo Apostles' and
Nicene Creeds — p.**6
Catholic means originally
universal —
in it's particular sense
the Romish Church.
p.**6
This one of the corruptive
falsehoods children
are early dosed
with. Are all churches
"Holy Catholic," or which
of them? p.**6.
Such the propositions
to guard him against
error an infant is
made to lisp as soon
as possible after his
relations have renounced
for him the
flesh he is made of — the world he must
live in, & the devil.
p.**6.
Whose portrait
that he may have been
when he saw him is given
in such of the prayer
-books as have cuts.
