Now for the means by which accomplishment has been
given to those ends: the process by which the disease has been
cultivated nursed / cherished [and brought to its present maturity] and raised
to its present height in the scale of maturity.

to repeat one of his Bentham's pages. To the arrangements—to the contrivances in question
he gives the name of Devices: a name the propriety of
which in truth will not be matter of dispute: they are as

which be the word employed are as follows:
