Review of J. and H.B.
(1)
§. 1. Reformists classed.

1
Reformists by shutting
their eyes to sinister
interests cannot shut the
eyes of the people.

Thorough and sincere Reformists and those found among the
people should consider that by shutting their eyes against
the sinister interests by which the the conduct of adversaries of reform were is
determined, it is not in their power to shut the eyes of these same
adversaries:

2
By Exposing sinister
interests the only chance
of combating them
with success.

that by exposing to public view those same sinister interests
with the correspondent interest begotten prejudice, and the
mutual cooperation with or without consent a on the part of
those same interests the only chance is obtained which the nature of
the case affords for the combating this with success.

3
Under stimulus of interest
the most idle & undeserving
more likely to promote
the sinister ends than
the most deserving and
diligent not under that
stimulus.

3. Thus must the stimulus applied by the form of interest
the most undeserving and injudicious and idle of men
are more likely to hit upon the most effectual opportunity &
means of giving success to the measures pursued for the attainment
of the ends aimed at by the sinister interests than the
most discerning and intelligent of those who are all under
the stimulus of that same interest.

4
Therefore policy of
concealing community
of sinister interests ill-judged.

4. That accordingly it would be ill-judged policy in those
to the under the apprehension of informing such their adversary
either of the alliance that has place between the sinister interests
of different classes, or of the means of giving success and effect
to those sinister interests to forbear the maker of such community
of interests as of any man calculated to afford assistance to
the advancement of these same sinister interests.
