II. Semi reformist
II. Class the second — Semi-reformists when Half-reform
In using the half word semi we do not
attach to it the same idea as in the word semi-quavers
in which case the two halves are exactly equal to
each other: the sense we use it in is that in which it
has parts called halves may in any degree differ in
magnitude from each other, without prejudice to the title
to the name of halves: as in the familiar phrases — the
greater or bigger half, and the lesser half
In the sense in which it is here meant to be employed
it includes all reformists but the al those mentioned
under the head of all comprehensive ones: all who to the
part f reform fund honestly and sincerely contribute any thing at all, be it
ever so litt much or ever so little
We say honestly and sincerely: for under the head
of anti-reformists we state here need to bring to view
a set of class of things animals being creatures, who like wolves in
sheeps clothing enlist enrol themselves in the service of reform
and the company society of reformists and in the service of reform
with no other better view than to betray it
For the clearer conception of the distinctive character of genera belonging to this
class the services of diversification and division may here be
brought to view: namely the nature of the effect produced
by the labours operation in quantity question and the nature of the motive
or say inducement which gave birth to them
General Abuse expense. Synonymous. Abuse-
Genus 1. Reforms proposers
Genus 2. Abuse-pro exposers
