Cause of the evil for J.B.
constant
Sacrifice of personal

"First principle of Justice"

(4)

Expect to see a set of men though five — six successive
regularly continuing orproceeding in the sacrifice each of his own personal interest
to the public interest in the shape of justice or in any other shape you expect to see a regularly
proceeding on its travels from the bottom of the Andes to the top thereof.
Public interest? Why — not so much in the iaea of a public
interest was thus formed: In the very idea is the fruit of
modern abstraction and refinement: the product of in a
state of the highest culture. The public interest in the shape
of justice? Why at this moment continually on the word is
seen and heard, only by Jeremy Bentham and thus to why
his works are familiar as any who ever
associated with these words Witness " the first principle
"of Justice! Witness the every principle of Justice! Gentlemen
Learned and Honourable! You who on each occasion that
these same principles are all with you, be pleased to
Lighten our darkness we beseech you good Gentlemen —
us with the list.

Not that to these aberations is any of them as
we have any other nor any on any other ground than that of
any objection to make. We thank Mr Brougham for every one
of them w wish there had been more of them: the more
then had he of them the more thankful we should have been
to him: then could not we now view of the number have
been too many of them.
