Review of Anti Humprhynan with Anti Peel
It would give us
sincere pleasure if it
were is in our power
to find some mark
of distinction between
the conduct of Mr
Peel in respect of
this transaction (the Salary-raising)
and
that of the most absolute
corruptionist
making an official arrangement
for no other
purpose whatever
than that of giving
augmentation to the
quantity of the matter
of corruption at
his disposal – and
without any regard consideration
for appropriate aptitude –
consideration had than
that of rendering the
minimizing the
quantity degree of it necessary
to the possession
of the Office.
This inability of
ours we mock and
solicit the Right Honourable
Secretary has
supporters, and administrators adherents the
receiver in
any way most convenient
and agreable to
them to remove: we
surely give whatsoever
scrutiny it is in the power
of our assurance to
give for the sinerity of
evidence, and we
promise to give to them also
when removed whatsoever
publicity it is in our
power to give.
