If If by by our friends at Madrid, the proposal should be accepted, and a letter
sent to him accordingly, in that case if they are on good
terms with friends at Lisbon it might be as
with the Agents of our friends it might be advisable
to communicate the matter to them to join in it, and to write
accordingly to Sir Samuel: in the first our Madrid friends, and
Lis in concurrence with the Lisbon Agents, and then our friends
at Lisbon as soon as the proposal reaches them, signifying
either their approbation or their disapprobation, as the case
