it seems necessary that I should trouble you with the translation
I have made of that part of his letter.
No: upon second thoughts I will not send you
my translation: for in so doing I should risk its not
going to the Examiner time enough for insertion. Instead
of it, to refresh your memory I will send you the original. to refresh your memory.

J.B. to M. de Colomb. Scratch out one of the above directions,
the remaining one will be yours, and, on your sending back this part of this letter shall be
obeyed. The time that
would be lost by writing a letter the purpose will thus be
saved.
Memm. Along with this was sent to M. Colomb the Extract furnished
by Mr Bowring, with an introductory letter in these words
Feb. 14 1821.
Extract of a private letter from dated 26 Jany.: two days later
than the date of Mr Mora's letter: It is believed to be from a person
whose situation should naturally enable him to take a commanding view
of the state of political affairs there.
