Of challenging to fight a duel: of
challenging to box, the evil effects may be
most clearly conceived. From observation
made of those the points on which, the mischief ofchallenging
to fight in the way of boxing comes that
of the mischief produced by challenging to
fight in the way of duelling, the nature
and effects of challenging to fight in the way
of boxing may be most clearly brought to view.

In the case of challenging for the purpose
of duelling, the mischief of the offence
will be found to vary in no small degree
with the nature of the motive by which the
challenge is produced.
