Law Amendments.
Slayee a public functionary. motive, either desire of pecuniary benefit, or else malevolence
towards him, on the account of the further
exercise given by him to such his functions, or the affection
supposed to be entertained or the interest possessed by him in consequence of such his
situation. By Effect of this circumstance, the character of a purely public
crime added to that of a publico-private crime, which has
place in those other cases.
Means, Direct, and more or less by which the in this case as in the case of
corporal vexation in its less afflictive shapes, the maleficent effect
is capable of being productive.
1. Immediate agent Operating instrument Operates the slayer himself.
2. Instrument an irrational animal of an irrational species
1. a dog set at the slayee: 2. wild best let loose upon
him.
3. The slayee himself: by information or advice administered
by the slayer, the slayee induced to expose himself
to the action by which the fatal event was produced: to enter
a room where in a manner unseen from without, an armed
madman, a trained dog, a wild carnivorous beast, or an armed madman
was stationed.
So, a man of sane mind, proposed by false
and deceptious information to regard the slayer as of the
slayee as having for its design the putting him instantly to instant death:
and the act of slaying him an act of self-defence
and or self-preservation.
