7. Incongruity the 7th. [Case of] Deodands. By accident, a death occurs.
On the part of one person inattention may or may not have been
contributory or not contributory to it. In either case punishment
is inflicted, and not he, it is not on him, but on but another person who has no
concern with the act that it is inflicted. A vehicle, with
its contents, no matter to what amount is taken from him, and
given to the King. This is actual giving it to God. For scarcely
distinguishable from the real God the God in heaven is this his
Vice God in the description picture given of him and and his absolute by
Blackstone.
