As to the inquisition meaning of the system of procedure
employed in As a Torture the habit practice of employing it among
namely in such penal cases as are to a certain degree of intensity
made punishable is among the characteristic features of Rome-bred law
as well in cases called temporal as in cases called interpractical
in which taken the word religion is employed in forming
the alledged ground for the punishment. Peniture to the Judicatories
called administrical is that feature of it which consists in forcing

inquiring making inquiry: inquisitor meaning the judicatory by
which the correspondent act is practicing a judicatory by which
for the purpose of exercising its functions judicial function inquiry is made
