The only object I have had in view in
drawing the line I have drawn such as it is , being the
satisfaction of the people ; the cases I have had
in view are those not merely so more - much all those which
are most important as those in which there
is most likely hard if the peoples being dissatisfied
with the judgments given by the ordinary
judges. Among civil cases In the civil class
cases may be found of importance superior
to some of the criminal ones I included under
within my line , for example those in which female
chastity is at stake : but in cases of so private
a nature now not likely party is not so apt
to interfere. In cases where money only is concerned
it is not however important worth to put it into the power
of men to turn the course of justice out of its
ordinary channel : for at the worst whose if a
party conceives a man to have been undergone
oppression in this way , in this way it
is always in the power of a party to make it
up to him.
