Jury There can be as little necessity can there be for putting
it in the power of any set of men body to bring this
unwieldy body upon the stage until it be
ascertained that the when the very only effect it is
designed to produce aims at would be equally produced without it only thing it is designed to do would be equally done without it. A
Defendant has been convicted : the persons who twice adjudged guilty: by the immediate Court & by
wish to see his think him not guilty apply that of appeal: the A number of persons, with still thinking)
for a Jury to revise the proof. If that upon
a revision of the proof they may acquit him.
If then a superior Judge his acquittal is already presumed by a superior Judge, what use
is there for the Jury?
