.5.4. The members, all compelled to declare the same opinion,
[even by confinement, and terminating in torture.]

WhenAs often as it really happens that the opinion
declared by all the the whole number of members of this Judicatory is
really the opinion entertained by each, the system <add>arrangements</add> measures
employed for enga securing ensuring this concurrence so
needless, inapplicable inoperative useless.
The only case in which they have any operation
is when there is in truth a difference of opinion: and
the sole effect and object of these arrangements is to cause
such of the members and so many whose opinion is different from not the same as from that
which with the assent of all is by the foreman publickly disclosed
to be the opinion of all, to declare it to be the same.
