The injustice and the mischievousness and inconsistency of the prejudice against
Informers – the fallacies by which it is supported
and by which alone it can be is capable of being supported, – belong
not to the present purpose.

What does belong to the present purpose, is –
that, by a rare singular coincidence, the honest men honest and dishonest
all lovers of the constitution, and almost all who in any
way, become or have it in contemplation to become
transgressors of the laws, join conceive in their attachment to
this mode of judicature.
