§ 4. Means employed by it
Now as to the instruments and other means by which the
delusion is effected produced or endeavoured to be produced.
The effect In the production of the effect two distinguishable operations
will naturally be combined: the holding setting up of false lights delusions, and
the extinction or exclusion of time uses: call the first
positive or introductive process positively delusive or delusion false-light introducing process: the other the negatively delusive
or true light-excluding process. The process first mentioned
consists of may be carried on by delusion and pure delusion and nothing without anything else: the
other f calls in force and intimidation to its assistance.
Such is the case when the lips and or pens by which the
false lights would have been begun to be extinguished are stopped,
and the printing presses by which the extinction would have
been compleated are stopped or destroyed: stopped by intimidation
or destroyed by force.
