The other instruments are the several instruments of
discourse considered in so far as employed applied to the particular purpose
employed in the endeavour to gain credence for one or more or all
of the three false positions conceptions or judgments above brought to view namely to that
by which the happiness felicity of this almost superhuman person is stated
as exclusively or – to the exclusion or in preference to the
happin felicity of all besides represented as the apt proper object of
regard and solicitude, that by which the happ felicity of all
besides is represented as being to the exclusion of the one or
in preference to the him are the object of his regard: such appropriate
intellectual and active aptitude in corresponding quantity and
degree following of course: and that by which in comparison with
those exalted and sup matchless persons the virtue apt of
all besides the virtue or say the aptitude virtue or appropriate aptitude
for the receipt of felicity – that aptitude being taken in all
its branches is equal to 0 or is rather more properly
speaking a negative quantity, in the status of which is on the
side of vice.
