(a) For an example of an absolute monarchy take the Russian Empire
a representative democracy take the government of the Anglo-American
United States.

(b) For an example of a pure or say absolute Monarchy
take the Russian Empire.

(c) For an example of a mixt or say limited Monarchy
take the English Monarchy. The To the power of the King limits being
set by the share shares possessed in the Sovereignty by the Lords
and those who such others as have at their command seats in the sovereign
assembly, it has for its object and effect the exercise of depredation
and oppression in other shapes by the partnership so
composed at the expence and by the correspondent sacrifice of
the happiness of the governed. Of this partnership the inferior
partners are divided into two sets. The one have the fruit of depredation
in possession. These are called the Tories, the Ins the Industrialists the . The other have those
same fruits in
only. These are called
the Whigs, the Outs
the Opposition: In respect
of this opposition, and the
war in which they these Outs are
perpetually engaged with
the Ins for the purpose
of turning them out and putting
themselves into their places
being tending and acting in opposition
to the they assume
the aspect, and by some
are regarded in possession
the disposition indicated
by the word Liberals.
As they can have no hope
of success but through the
affection of the people
they are thus forced and
only to pretend a sympathy for
of the people to
act to a certain degree in
favour of the interest of the
people, which in respect

Take for another example of a mixt or say limited
Monarchy the French Monarchy under the Constitution recently
given to it. This government being imposed upon the French nation
by the force power of the English government in conjunction with that of Russia
together with those of the equally pure monarchy of Prussia and
the nearly equally pure government of Austria, had for its
object the enabling the French Monarchy to exercise depredation
and oppression at large at the expence of the French people that the
English Monarch with his partners might in greater fuller security
continue in the exercise of oppression in both those shapes over
his subjects as also the Russian now Prussian and Austrian Monarchs
respectively at the expence of their subjects respectively.
