Constitutional Code. Ch. IX. §. 17 Supplement§. Objection 6
Of the spread capable of bei extension capable of being
given to the application made of the extravasation principle two instances
where to the particulars of which it happens to fall within
the writers knowledge may serve as samples specimens: to two ladies, for
being sisters to a man the author of a short and an indifferently penned
state paper in defence of the American war, £50 a year each
to two or three ladies for daughters in the life time of an opulent
father, for being cousins of the Duchess of one of the most opulent
of English Dukes, the same allowance: in both instances, procuring
patrons by some duel: not in two two instances cases had two
not less inefficaciously than abundantly notorious in which two
more such allowances are given doles were granted as if to tarnish the lustre of as bright political talents as
were ever in England scarcely to be matched in
the theatre of English politics.
