§.3. Functions

Enactive

Art. 19. Mode in which the above functions of
the Quasi Jury (the Appeal licensing excepted) are called forth into exercise.

1. By the parties, – and their assistants or substitutes,
professional or gratuitous, – what is said is in general
addressed, and understood to be addressed, to the Quasi
Jury in conjunction with the Judge.

2. By the Judge, when making his observations on the
evidence or on the argumentation, or on the conduct of a party, or an extraneous
witness, or any other actor on the judicial theatre,
or in stating the reasons on which his decrees, mandates,
or other acts or discourses or acts are grounded, they
are in like manner addressed as principal auditors,
appropriate regard being at the same time had to the
Judicial Inspectors and the as per Ch. XVII and the several other actors in the Judicial
theatre.
