Ch. Immediate Registrars
§. Checks.
1.
Art 1. Punishable falsification,
obliterating adding, or
altering a word in the
Register: so, making
any unindicated addition.
But when correctly
and compleatly indicated,
and such
correction may be
made; maker's mentioning name
with year , months &
day attached.
2.
Art 2. Every entry
made by a Registrar
Depute, is signed by
him, with sufficient
indication of his person,
at the same time
with mention of year,
month, day of month,
and hour.
3.
Art. 3. No other actor
has power to make
entry or alterations in
Register.
But on any such actor
tendering such minute,
authenticating
it by his name and
sufficient description,
Registrar is bound to
signify assent or dissent,
attested by his
family and official
names, at length or
by initials.

Art. 4. For refusal,
neither irrelevancy
nor even criminality
of the proposed entry
would afford justification:
for criminality,
tenderer's signature
renders him compensationally
& punitionally
responsible.

Art. 5. Other checks not
those which have place
in the case of a Pursuer Government
General Advocate; as per Ch XVII
