In the exercise of this function it belongs to the Registrar to
take or cause encounter
frame at the time, or cause to be framed, in writing, a statement of minute, of every thing material
which is said or done, by any of the several actors
in the judicial theatre, on the occasion of the several judicial sittings
and hearings in all the several suits in which
have
as they have place.

Art. 2. 4. Attestation-exacting function. To each such actor of whose discourse entry is made – to each such actor antecedently to his
quitting the Judicatory, the Registrar tenders presents such entry for his
signature, in token of his acknowledgement of its substantial correctness
and substantial effective compleatness as to every thing material in
the import of it: in case of such requisition if the undue person in question appeals compliance
is the result, it will be manifested by such his signature
he his signature accordingly: if he of refusal or
omission, entry of it thereof is made: of such omission or refusal
if the any person himself unable to make his signature,
a pen being put into his hand, he is called upon to
make is mark: and, for the fact of his having made
it, the any two of the other actors are, at the requisition of
the Registrar, bound to give their several attestations; as it
as likewise the Judge to exact them, in case of need.
