The list of persons who are thus bound in the event of their being
called upon are bound to serve in quality of supplemental
Quasi-Jurymen will be formed on principles accommodated
to the state of the population in each town, as they will not
any of them be called from any such distance as shall oblige
them him to pass the night be absent during the night from his own
home, the service should it recurr to each one
more than can in the course of a year in his case upon will not be so
soever as that of as would this him will any such security as it would must in the case
of a Quasi Jury on whom this separation from his
connections must be imposed.

The number of persons obliged to be serve in the
character of supplemental Quasi Jurors being thus the same
with the number of defaulters among those who are regularly
bound to serve hence this be derived an
interest which those belonging to the supplemental list will
have in promising the enforcement contributing to the giving execution and effect to the
law under which those upon the register list ought to serve.

Art. 5 By negligence or Designed to act as mutual checks upon each
other are the several official situations of the Judge and
the Registrar. If on the occasion of any suit by negligence or collusion the Registrar
were to omitt on any occasion the making providing a Depute of his own to act with the
Judge, the Judge by the location of any person of
his choice to officiate in the character of Registrar Depute
might on every such occasion deprive the interests of justice of the benefit of
this check. For this reason it is that while by §. 2.,
to prevent denial of delay of justice provision is made for the against any such deficiency, the Registrar
who by acceptance of his Office undertaken undertook for the prevention
of it is by §. 2. Art. 4 made responsible.

Art. 6. In the case of the Registrar, other checks are those which have
place in the case of a Pursuer
