Constitutional Code
Advocates alias Barristers or say Counsel
The Avoue or say , the Attorney or say
Solicitor does for his Client as such every thing but speak
for him to wit (in the public Justice Chamber) to the Judge.
The Advocate renders this preeminent assistance giv
affording at the same time to the Avoue or Attorney information and advice, on
whatever occasion asked.
The denomination signifying originally a person
called in is in so far significant: but it is has however
little or nothing characteristic in it but it has little or
nothing characteristic in it: for it affords no intimation
of the occasion or the purpose.
