§. 1. Class one only Instruction
To the production of the evils correspondent and opposite
to the direct ends of justice this same duplicity is still more
obviously and uncontrovertibly unfavourable ad conducive. Suppose
but one sort of lawyer he will by his sinister interest he
will indeed be prompted to do the utmost that regard for safety
as against punishment and safety as against loss of reputation
will admitt of his doing towards encreasing the quantity of delay
vexation and expence for the sake of the profit which doubly or
though the medium of the delay he can be made out of
