Constitutional Procedure Code
Ch. General View
§. Natural and Technical Contrasted
13. Aware that justice is altogether dependant upon
truth the natural system lays it down it for an rule
never to suffer a man to reap by falsity in any shape profit reward to be reaped in any shape
never to suffer it to remain unpresented, where by punishment
it is possible to reach it – to expose to public and universal
infamy every person whatsoever who shall have been in whose instance
can the commission of it shall have been made manifest,
in particular every functionary concerned in its administration
of justice, and above all every functionary occupying the
situation of Judge.
On the other hand, the technical system is in
having throughout the whole field of judicature no other followed for its foundation
his does and continues to do its utmost for eradicating all
regard for veracity out of the minds of men: falls fur
having had for its authors men who not content with
the constant practice of it in every and in almost every
part of every seat, not have made the practice of it not
merely matter of advantage but matter of necessity on the
part of all persons who on either side of the suit
have been laid under the necessity of making the sacrifice
or moral rectitude to themselves from being
consigned to either distinction by those pretended
of justice.
