1. Subject matter operated on persons & things
2. Operation performed
3. Immediate end of operation – 1. producing personal compliance in an individual man.
4. Ultimate end securing execution means of probation or means of concurrence
for either or both purposes.
☞ This subject it is supposed should first be treated in the Expositive and Indicative way, before
the subject of Preliminary security is treated in the Enactive way.
Art. 1. For the purpose of For bringing to view For rendering intelligible the means of operation
regarded as fit to be employed and thence herein proposed to be employed
for the continual accomplishment of the abovementioned ends will be highly conducive, it it necessary
to bring to view the several sorts of means which for
the purpose and on the occasion in question as persons and things are constituted are capable of being
thus.
Art. Subject matter of judicial operation – 1. person
or things: reducible to one or other of those two kinds are all possible
ones.
Art. Faculties on which the operation is performable
in the case of that subject matter . In the case of persons
1. passive 2. sensitive. 3. active: sensitive through the medium of
the passive; action through the medium of the sensitive.
