Means of communication and the means will depend
partly upon natural, partly upon human
comm

Both will be subject to variation in a anyy
suit by the different state of things in different territories and
governments.

Art. As to the means of communication, to whatever
of the above two purposes directed, in relation to them the following
objects will require to be considered.

1. The occasion on which the communication causes or requires to be made

2. The particular purpose for which it causes or requires to be made

3. The subject matter of which the communication causes or requires
to be made – and which in every case belongs either
to the hand of person or to that of things.

4. The object be it place, person or thing, from which the communication
causes or requires to be made.

5. The object – be it place, person or thing – to which or to where
the communication causes or requires to be made.

6. The object person by whom whose agency the communication causes or requires
to be made.

7. The instruments at large if any, by the instrumentality agency of which
in the hands of the agents the communication causes or requires
to be made: and which takers will come under the
head either of persons or of things

8. In particular those written instruments discourses
which would on this occasion will come to be distinguished
by the name of Judicial written instruments – or for shortness
Judicial instruments. Concerning these see below Ch. §.

Art. In regard to all these several objects, as to the
end and purpose use of the master they made of them, it is that on each occasion
it are a subject of enquiry may be whether in relation to them
respectively that sort of arrangement is taken which is most aptly amenably
conducive to the ends of justice.

Great not small are the variations to which in the
they were not but extended in different territories and under different
governments.
