On each of those sides, it will be seen may be parties
in any number: pursuers in any number and so defendants.
On each side may moreover be two sorts of parties
both or either without the other: the individual and the one or other of the public
functionaries: the Government Advocate and the Advocate of the
Helpless: each of them on either side as occasion calls: never
the two on the same side.
For the present all this mass of complication must will be
dismissed posted off: one side alone will in the first place be considered
and but one party on that side.
This mass of complication Sufficient already is the mass
of complication which would not thus be dismissed posted off. Service being the
name given to that which the application supposes to be demanded
at the hands of the Judge it is thereby presented in the character
of a single object. But the in the object may be seen an aggregate
composed of all those successes service which
are the ultimate service by which execution is effected or be rendered
must be have in most cases has been performed by the Judge. But to the rendering of
each service a correspondent operation must have been performed:
the service a sort of factitious entity to which the operation
gives a nominal existence.
