IV. Means of procurement

Mean of inspection, fees of instructor
are paid by of the source

Art. IV. or 1. Means of producing at the hands of the
Defendant, either compliance and reddition of the demanded
service, or the defence. As to this means of see above Ch.
Preliminary Security.

Art. Exceptions excepted, for this purpose the means of consummation will be by
mandate, requiring attendance for the purpose of oral examination or requiring epistolary statement,
with or without confessional evidence in the epistolary
mode, or giving to the proposed defendant the option between
the two modes according as in the declared effect of it judge
the one or the such other course as most conducive to the
ends of justice.

Art. 1. Means of producing at the hands of the
Defendant either reddition of the demanded service, or
Defence, containing reasons for the non-reddition of
primary, obvious and most simple means, announcement
of the determination, in case of non-responsive
or irrelevant or evasive responses, to render
at the charge of the Defendant the demanded service:
as also to take ulterior measures for exaction of compensation
for the expence and vexation attendant on the
pursuer. As to ulterior means, see §. Preliminary
Security.
