Bonaparte's Codes.

In Bonaparte's Codes the same licence is given to
falshood to fals in the case where truth would most commonly
put an end to the suit at the first mutual audience.
An individual testifying falsely in a case where they have he has
no known interest is as in a case of falshood punishable as for perjury:
an individual testifying falsely in a case suit in which
he is his good or ill success is altogether Dependant on his
own testimony has a virtual/right or licence to be in law is allowed
to be with impunity to employ mendacity lying in the endeavour
to committ injustice, and to this individual success is
in some cases even assured.
