The whole mass of the combined force of punishment
and reward and punishment in their hands is
employed directed in preventing those committed to their case
from seeing what is true and useful regard in regard
to religion and what is true and useful in regard to
government: what regards religion, on account of its
influence, which is all they care about, in regard

Here in chamber the method employed by rulers for

expence inundated with factitious evidence.
