Of Unlawful Defamation.
the party defamed, or some other person.
Exposition
[The party defamed] As if, supposing the notion to be
true, he suggested it to the party injured in the way of amicable
reproof, for the purpose of reclaiming him; or to any
other person to the intent that such other person might reprove
him.
[Other person] For instance in the intent of putting such
other person upon his guard, in order to save him from suffering
any inconvenience at the hands of the party defamed.
