§ Person-stealing
1. Reducing to slaves. Alimentation
2. Transferring for Mode to what.
§. 2. Punishment.
Art. 1. For person-stealing, for the purpose with the intent
of placing originating the person in that state of slavery to in which persons
of the black complexion are placed under Christian master
or say Slave-holders or Slave-owners, the person so stolen
being at the time of the stealing in a state of freedom the punishment remedies
may be at option and at discretion may be as follows
applicable are as follows.
1. To the wrongee, restoration to the condition of freedom. Mode
of satisfaction attestation. Attesting functionary, the Judge.
2. To the wrongee compensation at the charge of all persons
concerned in the wrong any compensation in any one or
more or all of the several mo shapes following
1. Capital sums all paid
2. A capital sum payable by instalment
3. Grant of an annuity in terms of years the life of he wrongee with a
without post obit annuities for his or her genealogical family
relations or say relatives.
